Project circles & ethics circles

Two circle types connect Allies & Artists missions to DAOFlow governance — one for ongoing projects, one for restorative disputes.

At a glance

Project circles

Purpose: Govern solarpunk missions, artist collectives, and community projects that repeat.

Starts on: Allies community projects board → Create circle in DAOFlow.

Includes: Membership, treasury, proposals, Saba or independent affiliation.

Mission board →

Ethics circles

Purpose: Restorative dispute resolution — party review, community vote, final outcome.

Starts on: DAOFlow Signal → new ethics circle intake.

Includes: Timed phases (day 30 / 37 / 44), AI-assisted drafts, public catalog listing only.

Start ethics circle →

Project circle flow

  1. Post a community project on Allies mission board
  2. Open Create project circle — redirects to DAOFlow with projectId, name, mission, city, tags
  3. Configure circle affiliation: Saba Cooperative or independent
  4. Optionally create a matching community DAO with artist-collective template
  5. DAOFlow callback links circle ID back to Allies project record

Ethics circle flow

  1. Enter via Signal bridge or Allies launcher
  2. Complete quiz → profile → account → nature of dispute → recount steps
  3. Participation window (30 days) — transitions when a participant opens the circle
  4. Party draft AI → 7-day party review → community summary → 7-day vote → resolved outcome
  5. Public catalog sync to Allies (no party statements exposed)

Ethics circles are not beta-wave-1 cohort governance and do not auto-open Resolution DAO cases.

Common questions

Can one project have both a project circle and an ethics circle?

Yes. A mission may have an ongoing project circle for governance while a separate ethics circle handles a specific dispute through Signal.

Where do Pneuma fellowship circles fit?

Pneuma Ashland and Oakland are spiritual community circles — fellowship and pathworking, not DAOFlow project circles. Oakland covenant membership is separate from Allies/DAOFlow tooling.
